The qualifying exams to earn these Credentials are available online daily, and you may access the ACE or PCS exam from your own computer, tablet or phone.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">MCA Eligibility<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><strong>EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:<\/strong><br \/>\nMasters or Doctorate Degree in the healing arts and\/or sciences, or closely related subject; and, 3&nbsp;years general and\/or clinical supervisor AOD\/SUD experience.<\/p>\n<p><strong>EXAM:<\/strong><br \/>\n<span class=\"s1\">The qualifying exam for the&nbsp;<\/span><span class=\"s1\">MCA Credential is the <b>Private-practice \/ Clinical Supervisor <\/b>or &#8220;<strong>PCS<\/strong>&#8220;<\/span><span class=\"s1\">&nbsp;<\/span><span class=\"s1\">Exam. The PCS Exam was developed,&nbsp;reviewed and validated by nationally-recognized subject matter and psychometric experts to test for&nbsp;the necessary skills and knowledge&nbsp;of an addiction professional in private&nbsp;practice and\/or working as a clinical supervisor. Test whenever you are ready, because daily testing worldwide is available, and you may access the PCS exam from your own computer, tablet or phone.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">M-RAS Eligibility<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><strong>EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:<\/strong><br \/>\nAny one of the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>MA or Doctorate Degree in healing arts or sciences and 3 years clinical experience; or<\/li>\n<li>BA Degree in healing arts or sciences and 5 years clinical experience; or<\/li>\n<li>Ten (10) years clinical experience&nbsp;(must have minimum of 155 hours formal AOD education)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>EXAM:<\/strong><br \/>\n<span class=\"s1\">The qualifying exam for the&nbsp;<\/span><span class=\"s1\">RAS Credential is the&nbsp;<\/span><span class=\"s1\"><strong>Addiction Counselor Exam<\/strong> or \u201c<strong>ACE<\/strong>\u201d&nbsp;<\/span><span class=\"s1\">Exam, available online daily, which may be accessed by your own computer, tablet or phone<\/span><span class=\"s1\">.&nbsp;The ACE Exam was developed, reviewed and validated by nationally-recognized subject matter and psychometric experts to test for&nbsp;the necessary skills and knowledge&nbsp;of an addiction professional.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Fees and Costs for MCA or M-RAS<\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>ACE or PCS Exam: $175<\/li>\n<li>Application Fee: $0<\/li>\n<li>Membership Fees: $0<\/li>\n<li>Renewal Fee: $150 (every 2 years)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr noshade=\"noshade\" size=\"5\">\n<h2><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">M-RAS Applicants who are existing RAS Credential Holders:<\/span><\/h2>\n<p class=\"p1\">The M-RAS is a FREE upgrade for qualified RAS, RAS II and RAS III Credential holders. Candidates for the M-RAS Credential who already hold and are current with the&nbsp;RAS, RAS II or RAS III Credential, and who have already passed the ACE or RAS Exam, will not need to retest.
