NORMAN G. WILLIS, a partner in Appleseed Consulting Services (which
provides community lectures, skills building workshops and groups, counseling, group
facilitation, counselor training, EAP and SAP training for supervisors and employees of
small businesses) since 1988, is a faculty instructor and mentor. Mr. Willis has provided
chemical dependency counseling and consulting for numerous organizations since 1981,
including the City of Santa Rosa, the Redwood Empire Municipal Insurance Fund,
Occupational Health Services, Merritt Peralta Institute and Maximus. He has also provided
Employee Assistance and Substance Abuse services, including counseling and consultation,
to cities throughout Northern California, Letterman Army Medical Center at the Presidio,
San Francisco; to the City of Oakland, and the U.S. Navy at Alameda, California. He
provides contractual services to the International Longshoremen Warehouse Union-Pacific
Maritime Association (ILWU/PMA), San Francisco. Mr. Willis has served as an instructor of
drinking driver programs in the City and County of San Francisco, Alameda County, Contra
Costa County and Sonoma County. Mr. Willis has served as an instructor for the U.S. Navy
Alcohol/Drug Safety Action Program, and for the State of Nevada Bureau of Alcohol and Drug
Abuse. He has also been a guest speaker at Stiles Hall, University of California -
Berkeley; Sonoma State College, Sonoma County and Hayward University, Hayward, California.
He holds professional accreditation as a Certified Employee Assistance Professional
(CEAP); Nationally Certified Addictions Counselor (NCAC II) from the National Association
of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselors (NAADAC); and as a Certified Alcohol and Drug
Counselor (CADC) from California Association of Alcohol and Drug Counselors. Mr. Willis
earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Armstrong Business College, Berkeley,
