  MICHAEL S. PARR, M.D., whose private practice since 1971 has specialized in obstetrics, gynecology and infertility, is a faculty instructor and mentor. Dr. Parr has served as Medical Director for Cokenders Alcohol and Drug Program in Emeryville, California; as Medical Consultant/After Care Consultant to the National Basketball Association, Drug Program; as Medical Director to Central Valley First Step; as Medical Director for the Sutter Outpatient Drug and Alcohol Program; Medical Director of the Mercy Perinatal Chemical, and has served on the Sacramento County Maternal Child Health Advisory Board. Dr. Parr has served as Chairman of the Medical Board of California Diversion Evaluation Committee, and has served as Chairman of the Well Being Committees for Sacramento County, Sutter Hospital and Mercy Hospital. He earned his Medical Degree from University of Michigan in 1961, performed his internship and residency at Mt. Sinai Hospital and University of California, Davis, and served in the military stationed at Mather Air Force Base in Sacramento, California. Dr. Parr has Hospital Staff Privileges/Senior Status at American River Hospital, Mercy San Juan Hospital, Sutter Community Hospitals, Mercy General Hospital, Sutter Surgery Center, and Greater Sacramento Surgery Center.
