LEONOR
BALCAR, Ph.D., is a faculty mentor who has a wide range of
expertise and experience in education and clinical psychology. Dr. Balcar holds lifetime
teaching credentials in Spanish, German, Psychology and Anthropology, and is certified as
an international trainer, consultant and lecturer. A board member emeritus of the Native
American Education Center and a regular speaker for hispanic radio station
KZSA,
Sacramento, Dr. Balcar has served as a Psychology Instructor at American River College,
and as an assistant training coordinator in psychology with Gregory May, Ph.D. She is
certified as a Master Addictions Counselor by the National Association of Forensic
Counselors, and a Specialist in Counseling for Criminal Justice. She has worked with Carl
Rogers and Ruth Sanford at the Center for Studies of the Person, La Jolla, California, and
as a team member in international psychology, Vienna, Austria. Dr. Balcar earned her
Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from International College in Los Angeles, California, in
