DOUGLAS R.
HIGHT, D.P.M., a faculty instructor and mentor, has been
engaged in his Podiatric Medicine and Surgery private practice since 1985. Dr.
Hights specialty includes sports podiatry, which has called for his involvement with
professional sports franchises (including the San Francisco Forty
Niners, San Francisco
Giants, San Jose Sharks and the Sacramento River Rats professional roller hockey), as well
as local college (Sierra College) and high school (Lincoln and Del
Oro) athletic programs.
He has provided a podiatry station for the Western States 100 Mile Endurance Run since
1987. His hospital affiliations have included Stanford University Hospital, Sutter Surgery
Center (Sacramento, California), Washington Outpatient Surgery Center (Fremont,
California), and Roseville Community Hospital where he has served as the Chief of Podiatry
staff. Dr. Hight earned his Masters in Education from Oregon State University in 1975, and
his Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine from California College of Podiatric Medicine in 1984. |
