providing State-approved

certification since 1986.
Breining Institute was first approved to offer
addiction education courses in 1986 by the State of
California Board of Education, and, after a
comprehensive accreditation
process, our most current
institutional approval is from the State of California
Board for Private Postsecondary and Vocational
Education (BPPVE) to offer certificate and degree

The NAADAC National Certification Commission has approved the
eligibility of the Breining
Institute Masters and Doctorate

The 17-unit FAST TRACK program
satisfies
the California 155-hour alcohol and other drug (AOD) education
requirement to be certified as an addiction counselor, and
also
satisfies the educational requirement for the
California-approved and
nationally-accredited Registered Addiction Specialist (RAS)
credential

FAST TRACK is available entirely through
Distance Learning, and you may complete the course at your
own pace.
