Chapters 2 through 5
Includes examination of co-occurring substance abuse and
mental disorders, including definition, terms, and
classification systems for co-occurring disorders;
keys to successful programming; assessment; and
strategies for working with clients with
co-occurring disorders.

Co-occurring Disorders Education Course, Part 2 (15
hours)
Chapters 6 through 9
Includes an examination of co-occurring substance abuse and
mental disorders, including traditional setting and
models; special settings and specific populations;
overview of specific mental disorders and
cross-cutting issues; and substance-induced
disorders.

Co-occurring Disorders Education Course, Part 3 (10
hours)
Appendices C and D
Includes an examination of a glossary of terms related to
co-occurring disorders; identification of specific
mental disorders - including suicidality, nicotine
dependence, mood and anxiety disorders, and eating

The full 40-hour Co-occurring Disorders
Education
Course is divided into three parts. Each
"Exam Questions Packet" includes the relevant
portion of TIP 42 that is being tested
upon in that part. You do
not need to complete the parts in order, although it
is recommended that you do so. Select the link below
to the "On-line Answer Sheet"
that corresponds to the exam questions that you wish
to answer after reviewing the material in
the related packet for that part.

receive credit for the Course |

Read and study the
Chapters identified in the Exam Questions
Packet for each Part.

Answer the Exam Questions using the On-line Answer Sheet.

You will not be
prompted to pay until after you have
successfully completed the exam with score of
70% or better.

You will
automatically receive an e-mail that confirms
you passed the exam, as well as a Certificate of
Completion attached to the e-mail.
